Operations Manager - Jenny Broughall

On behalf of myself and my staff, we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Wrexham Tennis Centre in August for the Welsh Tennis Championships.

We’re really looking forward to hosting the event for the 3rd time in recent years. This year, we hope to make it bigger and better with lots of extra’s going on throughout the week including our in-house equipment shop, cafe, off-site re-stringing service and a player's chill-out/games room.

Good luck to everyone competing and we hope you enjoy a fantastic week of tennis!

North Wales Committee Member - Pat Hill

I have always loved a variety of sports while at school, particularly hockey, tennis, gymnastics and netball. I later trained as a teacher specialising in P.E. and have taught children of every stage starting in High School, then Further Education before moving to the Primary Sector teaching infants and juniors.

Following retirement I continued to work  with school governing bodies leading on Head Teacher performance management reviews and currently I sit on the Tennis Wales North committee with responsibility for the Welsh Tennis Championships.

I am passionate about this great game and have tried my best to encourage children of all ages and abilities to participate and enjoy the advantages that playing, exercising and team building can bring. I believe that one of my greatest achievements with tennis to date has been in persuading the Tennis Wales North committee to put forward a case to have the Welsh Championships hosted in North Wales on alternative years. This year will be the third time that Wrexham Tennis Centre will play host and we will be building on the experiences we have gained from the previous championships to make it the best tournament yet and a great, enjoyable family experience for everyone.
